Refunds
When fees come back, and when the hour has already been used
These rules apply to Cloud Mappoint tuition only: private mapping sessions, small-group workshop seats, chart clinics, the six-week stretch, and quoted private tables. We do not sell physical goods or software licences.

Chart Mapping Session (90 minutes)
Cancel or move with at least 48 hours’ notice and the fee is returned in full, or held as a credit for three months if you prefer. Inside 48 hours we may offer one move to another date; a second late change, or a no-show, is non-refundable because the hour cannot be offered to someone else. If the sitting has started, the fee for that hour is earned. If we cancel — illness, studio closure — you may have a new date or a full refund.
Small-group workshop seats
A deposit holds the chair. The deposit is refundable if you leave more than 14 days before the day, minus any room-hire share already committed for a private table. Inside 14 days the deposit is kept unless we fill the seat from a waiting list, in which case we return it less a £25 admin amount. The remaining balance is due before the day; if you do not pay and do not attend, that balance is not charged, but the deposit is not returned. If we move the day because fewer than four traders confirmed, deposits carry to the new date or come back in full at your choice.
Chart Clinic
Clinic seats can be cancelled up to 24 hours before the cutoff for chart files. Later cancellations and no-shows are not refunded. If your file missed the cutoff and we could not review it, we will place you on the next clinic without a second fee, or refund if you do not want the later date.
Six-week stretch
You may withdraw before week one for a full refund. After week one, we refund the unused weeks minus the first sitting at the private-session rate, because that hour has been delivered. One missed week may be moved; a second miss in the same stretch is forfeited. Homework not sent does not create a refund; it only changes what the next hour can cover.
Private tables and travel
Room hire and rail fares already bought for a closed workshop are non-refundable if you cancel after we have paid them, unless the venue itself returns the money. Teaching time not yet delivered is refunded on the same notice as a workshop seat.
Work already started
Preparation of your charts in the 24 hours before a private sitting is part of the fee. If you cancel inside that window we still keep the session fee as for a late change. Printed workbooks handed over on a workshop day are not returnable for hygiene and copyright reasons; their value is not itemised separately from the seat.
How money comes back
Refunds go by bank transfer to the account that paid, within 10 working days of agreement. We do not send cash. If a deposit was paid by a firm, we return it to that firm unless they instruct otherwise in writing.
Exceptions
If we are at fault — double booking, a tutor who cannot attend and no substitute you will accept — the fee returns in full, including deposits, and any travel we asked you to book for a Thornhaugh day is discussed in good faith. Statutory rights under UK consumer law are not affected where they apply to you as a consumer.
